Forest law

Unlike the CAP, forestry policy is not a common policy field of the EU but a matter addressed by the Member States. The essential regulations of Austria’s forestry law are thus laid down in the Austrian Forest Act 1975 (“Forstgesetz 1975”, in the 2002 Forest Reproductive Materials Act and in other laws and ordinances.
