A study of the market research institute KeyQUEST has shown that the Austrian population considers agriculture to be very positive. The majority of those interviewed is convinced that agriculture is essential for the society and will remain so also in future.
Many people think of farmers above all as men. However, this understanding does not correspond to reality: More than one out of three farms in Austria is managed by a farm woman. Women play a much greater role in agriculture than many people think.
