Member states and partner countries of the OECD

Currently 38 states are members of this organization; Austria was a founding member. Most recently, Costa Rica became the fifth Latin American country to join the organization in May 2021.

The Russian Federation is not a full member, but works as an associate country in numerous OECD groups and projects.

An additional 5 states are so-called partner countries:

  1. Brazil,
  2. China,
  3. India,
  4. Indonesia and
  5. South Africa.

The European Union also takes part in the deliberations (without voting rights).
