Research platform “DaFNE”
The web platform DaFNE of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management is Austria’s first generally accessible research platform for the science community, the administration and the interested public.
Research platform “DaFNE”
The DaFNE research platform was established by the ministry in late 2005. As from 2008 the platform has also been used by other ministries and by the Federal Provinces to handle research projects within the framework of research cooperation between the Federal Government and the Federal Provinces. The web-based research platform “DaFNE” is based on the Common European Research Information Format (CERIF).
Paperless research
The (largely) paperless research (tender, assessment, administration and publication of the results on WWW) was awarded the e-government quality label of the Federal Government. This quality label signals that DaFNE is safe and of high quality and that it complies with the stringent guidelines of the Federal Government’s ICT strategy.
Online administration of research projects
DaFNE provides the technical infrastructure for a largely online administration and online publication of research projects within the framework of the current research programme. You can use the DaFNE research platform if you wish to submit applications for research projects to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management or in the Federal Provinces in the framework of the Federal/Provincial research cooperation. After having registered, you will find appropriate input options for project applications which can be forwarded online.
